PANIC PROTOCOL A game made for the Puzzle Sobbing Jam

In most games, your weapon is your best friend. In Panic Protocol, it is your biggest liability.

You are a lone defender in the void. The enemy horde is endless. Your machine gun is powerful, but it’s unstable. As your weapon heats up, the internal mechanism fights back—screws come loose, batteries fly out, and gears seize up.

To survive, you must split your brain in two:

  1. DEFEND (Top Screen): Hold the line against waves of red diamond aggressors.
  2. REPAIR (Bottom Screen): When your gun inevitably jams, dive into the mechanism. Drag batteries back into slots, rewire circuits, and crank rusted gears—all while the enemy is still attacking.

THE "SOBBING" MECHANIC We took the jam theme literally: The puzzle suffers when you suffer. You can't pause to solve the puzzle. If you take damage while repairing, the impact shakes the entire screen—knocking batteries out of your hand, scrambling your wires, and resetting your progress.

FEATURES

  • Split-Focus Gameplay: distinct "Action" and "Logic" layers that demand constant attention.
  • Physics-Based Puzzles: Batteries have weight, gears have friction. It feels like a desperate manual repair, not a clean math problem.
  • Risk/Reward Heat System: The longer you hold the trigger, the higher the chance of a catastrophic jam. Do you play it safe, or push your luck?

CONTROLS

  • Mouse Only (Mobile Friendly):
    • Aim/Shoot: Move mouse & Left Click.
    • Repair: Click & Drag to fix internal components.
